Engagement

I have a personal interest and a wish to engage myself in the development of society. In general we may often feel that our efforts will not make any difference, but as Gandhi said, “Whatever you do will be insignificant, but it is very important that you do it.”

Through many years I have participated in different governments’ think tanks – including Growth Forum (Vækstforum). I am glad that I have had the opportunity to participate in this process, since I am very committed to Denmark’s future prosperity and progress.

In Denmark, as in the rest of the world, public health and wellbeing are important and relevant issues. We are still struggling with cardiovascular diseases and the terrible disease cancer – both diseases have had a place in my life. It is with great interest and genuine commitment that I support the very important work of The Danish Heart Foundation and The Danish Cancer Society.

Finally, our global climate challenges are in my eyes a bigger problem than people dare to admit. Therefore I am happy to help smaller clean-tech start-up companies develop their concept and business.

My desire to contribute to a sustainable development in society has engaged me in a number of concepts and companies – you can read about some of them, when you visit their websites to the right.
